LUPER is part of the Plan VEO. If your child is 16 or under and needs glasses or contact lenses, we process it for you at the opticians.
It is a Ministry of Health grant for glasses and contact lenses for children and teenagers. It does not depend on family income.
Deadline: the grant is available until 31 December 2027 (Royal Decree 853/2026), or until the budget runs out.

It is a grant programme from the Ministry of Health, regulated by Royal Decree 902/2025, that pays up to €100 per child per year towards prescription glasses or contact lenses. It is managed with the General Council of Colleges of Optician-Optometrists at participating opticians, such as LUPER.
Children and teenagers up to and including 16, entitled to public healthcare and with a diagnosed prescription problem that is corrected with glasses or contact lenses. Children covered by MUFACE, MUGEJU and ISFAS can also apply.
If the glasses or contact lenses cost €100 or less, you pay nothing. If they cost more, the Plan VEO pays €100 and you pay the difference at the opticians.
Yes. It covers soft or rigid gas-permeable contact lenses and the solution to care for them, enough for one year, up to €100.
If the child is 6 or over, our optometrist can write it in the same visit, or an ophthalmologist from the public or private health system. If they are 5 or under, it must be an ophthalmologist: from the public health system, after referral by the paediatrician or GP, or private.
The CIPA code from the child's health card (or the certificate from the autonomous community, or the mutual fund card), the ID (DNI) of the father, mother or guardian, the child's DNI if they have one, and the prescription. The official form is filled in and signed at the opticians. The child must be accompanied by their father, mother or legal guardian.
No. You can only apply in person at a participating optician's. The opticians register the application in the Plan VEO system and the family does not have to do any other paperwork.

Trato humano muy bueno. La calidad de las gafas nefasta, propaganda engañosa en mi caso. Valoraré poner hoja de reclamaciones en consumo ya que la solución que me han dado a mi problema, cristales que se empañan nada más usarlos y montura defectuosa, es comprarme otras y pagar el 50% después de haber pagado por unas gafas, repito, defectuosas, más de 1000 euros.
No volveré, ni hablaré bien de ustedes.
Muy muy contenta. Me he elegido unas gafas preciosas y además he tenido 20 € de descuento. La chica que me atendió fue súper amable y simpática. ¡Sin duda, muy recomendable!
Me compré dos gafas en mayo, me dijeron que tardaban 3 días y tardaron 3 semanas en dármelas. Cuando me las probé me mareé en la óptica. Me fui a casa y me las puse y tuve un mareo que me duro varias horas, no podía hacer nada ni cuidar de mi hijo. Fui a la óptica y me dijeron que no entendían que pasaba que era super raro. Me hicieron un cambio y me dieron otras gafas. Otra vez esperando una semana. Más de un mes sin gafas. Pues con las gafas nuevas también me mareaba pero menos. Fui y me decían que no entendían que pasaba que era muy raro. Al final me he ido a otra óptica y es que estaban mal graduadas y el centro óptico mal puesto. Me he gastado 180€ en perder el tiempo y dar vueltas y no tener gafas que me valgan.
Una experiencia magnífica desde el primer momento. El trato es cercano, amable y muy profesional, y se nota que realmente se preocupan por encontrar la mejor opción para cada cliente.
